If you are running a digital marketing company in the UK you might have recently been contacted by someone claiming to be from MVMT Watches looking for PPC Marketing. At first it starts with a simple enquiry form submission from Sofia Clark, their email address is the first red flag - info@mvmt.watch. As you can see it’s not the correct @mvmt.com domain that it should be. The contents of their first email is the following: “Hello, I’m Sofia Clark, representing the watch brand MVMT. We are aiming to strengthen our brand presence and require your company’s assistance in managing advertising campaigns on Google and social media platforms in the United Kingdom. If this opportunity interests you, please contact us via email to explore the potential for collaboration. Kind regards, The MVMT Team.” Upon entering the url mvmt.watch it redirects to the correct and legit website. In order to verify the legitamacy of the enquiry we contacted MVMT watches directly. They said the following in connection with this: “Please be informed that the collaboration emails you’ve received are not legitimate. Kindly report the sender and block the account. We take these matters very seriously; thus, the team’s religiously investigating the source of these emails and is pursuing available legal action. Moving forward, please know that we appreciate your vigilance in bringing this to our attention. We also apologize for any inconvenience caused.” Hopefuly this post helps anyone who is trying to google whether their new MVMT enquiry is legit or not. Most likely a scam to get your company details, pricing and other private data.
